Childhaven Branding Refresh

Coursework project, Foster School of Business, Marketing Management Certificate program.

The Challenge

Help Childhaven, a Seattle nonprofit, improve the consistency and clarity of their marketing communications, with the goal of increasing awareness and donations. Four years ago, Childhaven celebrated its 100 year anniversary of helping Seattle-area children. It marked this occasion with a history-focused website featuring somber colors and black-and-white photos. The site and associated materials are due for a rebrand to more effectively convey the nonprofit’s mission.

The Solution

In order to better communicate Childhaven’s work with children, I developed a friendlier color scheme that was more kid-friendly but not gaudy. I then made the home page more donor-centric with stories of how donations helped local kids, and redesigned the all-important donation page based on principles of Nudge marketing.
